Why do we collect and use student information?
We collect and use student information for our records and for any Children in Entertainment Licencing that is necessary under The Children (Performances and Activities) (England) Regulations 2014. We also comply with Article 6(1)(b) and Article 9(2)(a) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Collecting student information
All student information you provide therefore is provided to us on a voluntary basis. In order to comply with the General Data Protection Regulation, you have a choice as to whether you wish to provide certain student information to us.
Storing student information
Hilton Hall Dance Academy keeps information about you and your child/ren on computer systems and also on paper.
We hold your records securely and retain them from your date of registration until you leave after which they are safely destroyed.
There are strict controls on who can see your information. We will not share your data if you have advised us that you do not want it shared unless it is the only way we can make sure you/your child stay safe and healthy or we are legally required to do so.

Why we share student information
We do not share information about our students with anyone without consent unless the law and our policies allow us to do so.
Aged 14+ students
For students over 14 enrolling for examination, we will request a student’s unique learner number (ULN) to include with their enrolment.
Requesting access to your personal data
Under data protection legislation, parents and students have the right to request access to information about them that we hold. To make a request for your personal information, or be given access to your child’s record, please contact Miss Roberts.
